Catellus Development Corp., has been selected as the master developer for the 330-acre Arizona State University athletic facilities district. Although, the ball has starting rolling on the redevelopment plan, the land parcel is yet to be named or branded.
Catellus is keeping an open mind on which concepts will be in this lake font redevelopment by looking into the needs of the area’s market as well as the ideas of key stakeholders.
This list of stakeholders includes the city of Tempe, ASU administrators and the athletics department. Each will have input on what will make this 10-20 year redevelopment successful. Executive Vice President of Catellus, Greg Weaver stated that the plan may take a year to finish, but he is hoping that all partners and stakeholders will consider the end result.
