Brownfield
Brownfield redevelopment is a Catellus core competency. Shortly after the Santa Fe Southern Pacific Corporation founded the company in 1984, then known as Santa Fe Pacific Realty Corporation, plans began to remediate and redevelop a former railyard at Mission Bay in California. This was in the early days of brownfield transformation in this country.
The Santa Fe Pacific Realty Corporation became Catellus in 1990. As a ProLogis company today, Catellus employs a world-class, highly-skilled team that has master developed thousands of acres of former railroad property, military bases, airports and urban infill sites. Catellus has reclaimed numerous brownfield sites and constructed remarkable new developments that are sustainable and compatible economic successes for the communities they serve.

Prairie Glen Corporate Campus at The Glen is a 92-acre business park and part of a 1,000-acre master planned community created during the redevelopment of the former Glenview Naval Air Station.
The development, situated on prime property on Chicago's North Shore, is home to several corporate headquarters, a 140-acre park, a $20 million public fitness facility, entertainment venues, retail shops and an 18-hole golf course.
