Mr. Whiskeman is formerly managing director for Westrust Ventures, a leading developer, owner and operator of retail centers and mixed-use projects in California. In that role, Mr. Whiskeman led the company’s overall leasing activities and marketing campaigns, which included five major neighborhood, power/lifestyle and mixed-use projects encompassing a total of 1.6 million square feet.
Prior to Westrust, Mr. Whiskeman spent five years working for Catellus Development Corporation, until its merger with ProLogis in 2005. His responsibilities included entitlements, leasing, design, contract negotiation and development for two major Catellus projects in northern California; Pacific Commons in Fremont and Enterprise Landing in Alameda. Mr. Whiskeman also held a leadership role in the planning of the regional retail center at Catellus’ Mueller airport redevelopment in Austin, Texas.
Mr. Whiskeman holds a Bachelor of Science in Regional Development from the University of Arizona and is a current member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute.
